MauGowes is an online platform dedicated to all things cycling. It offers everything from the latest cycling news and original MauGowes content—in both text and video formats—to a bike catalog and a cycling glossary, with plans for continued expansion.
Project Overview
The client requested the latest version of MauGowes, featuring a visual overhaul driven by a switch to a more lightweight development stack for both the front-end and back-end.
Some of the features we developed for MauGowes V4 include:
The homepage features the latest posts, videos, bikes, and cyclists registered on MauGowes.
MauGowes' post page featuring various topics related to the world of cycling.
A video page sourced from the MauGowes YouTube channel for display on the MauGowes website.
The bikes page features a wide range of bicycles available on the market, along with official specifications and estimated prices, and includes a "bike compare" feature..
Bike Compare features the ability to compare bicycle specifications from various brands side-by-side..
The "Top Cyclists" page and posts on MauGowes feature a function that displays the cyclists involved in those posts. The "Top Cyclists" list is the result of MauGowes independently gathering data on cyclists from around the world to consolidate it on the platform..
"Kamu Sepeda" is a digital dictionary page dedicated to the world of bicycles.
Role & Responsibilities
YNA decided to use Next.js and Echo (Golang) for the new development stack, while continuing to use the existing MongoDB database.
MauGowes provided the latest design for MauGowes V4, so YNA’s task was simply to convert the design into a web interface and create new endpoints to support the features already present in MauGowes V3.
Future Improvements
MauGowes itself decided to release or publish independently.
